XER Viewer Desktop Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy applies to XER Viewer Desktop for Windows and macOS, including versions distributed through the Microsoft Store and Mac App Store.

Project and application data

XER Viewer Desktop reads Primavera P6 XER files that you choose to open. Your project files, parsed schedule data, application preferences, and locally recorded usage counters remain on your device. XER Viewer does not upload this data to its servers or share it with third parties.

Accounts, analytics, and advertising

The desktop app does not require an XER Viewer web account. It does not use advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking technologies.

Diagnostics

The app may create diagnostic logs and crash dump files on your device to help troubleshoot technical problems. These files are not automatically uploaded. You control whether to provide them when requesting support.

Store purchases and updates

Microsoft Store purchases and updates are handled by Microsoft, and Mac App Store purchases and updates are handled by Apple. Those companies process transaction and account information under their own privacy policies. XER Viewer does not receive your payment-card details from either store.

Direct-download license service

The separately distributed Windows direct-download edition may send a license key, device name, and license instance identifier to Lemon Squeezy when you activate, validate, or deactivate a license. This license service is not used to process project files or schedule data. This section does not apply to purchases managed by the Microsoft Store.

Support

If you contact info@xerviewer.org, we use the information you provide only to respond to and resolve your request. Support information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for that purpose and applicable business or legal requirements.

Your choices

You can remove locally stored projects and preferences through the app or by uninstalling it and deleting its local application data. You can also delete diagnostic files from the app's diagnostic folder.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
